This unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 1 (GPD1), a cytosolic NAD-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the reversible reduction of dihydroxyacetone phosphate to glycerol-3-phosphate. GPD1 sits at a key branch point between glycolysis and glycerophospholipid biosynthesis and has been investigated in hepatic triglyceride metabolism, hepatocellular carcinoma, and transient infantile hypertriglyceridemia models. Raised in rabbit, the reagent is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, intended for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples. The unconjugated format lets researchers pair it with their preferred HRP, biotin, or fluorophore secondary antibodies. Aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store the glycerol-containing solution at -20 °C; the 50% glycerol cryoprotectant also tolerates short-term storage at -80 °C for archival use.
