Supplied through Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is raised in rabbit against the G protein-coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1), also known as TGR5, BG37, GPR131 or M-BAR — a membrane-bound bile acid receptor implicated in cAMP signaling, energy homeostasis and regulation of macrophage function. The polyclonal antibody is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and is provided as a 50 µl liquid formulation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2, ready to use in Western blot (WB) workflows on human, mouse and rat samples. Western blot is the validated application of record, consistent with the antigen's predicted molecular weight of ~35 kDa, and the absence of BSA or glycerol in the buffer makes the preparation well suited to standard immunoblotting protocols. For short-term use, the vial should be kept at 4 °C; for longer-term storage, aliquoting and freezing at –20 °C is recommended, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
