Manufactured by Antibodies.com and supplied under the AFMS catalogue, this primary polyclonal antiserum is raised in rabbit against the synthetic peptide spanning amino acids 471–510 of human gp91-phox, an essential membrane-bound subunit of the superoxide-generating NADPH oxidase complex. The reagent is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and has been affinity-purified by epitope-specific chromatography to a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal (IgG isotype), and the antibody is unconjugated, allowing flexible detection with secondary reagents of the researcher's choice. The immunogen sequence is conserved across species, and the antibody has been validated for reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. In the listed validation it is recommended for immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, where it detects endogenous levels of the gp91-phox protein in tissues expressing the NADPH oxidase complex, including phagocytes, vascular smooth muscle cells, and endothelial cells. For storage, the vial should be kept at 4 °C for short-term use and aliquoted for long-term storage at −20 °C, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. This reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
