Anti-GP1BB Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets GP1BB, the beta subunit of the platelet glycoprotein Ib-IX-V complex that mediates initial platelet adhesion to subendothelial von Willebrand factor at sites of vascular injury. Because the GPIb-IX-V receptor is central to primary hemostasis and to pathological thrombus formation, GP1BB is a protein of interest in cardiovascular research, platelet biology, and studies of Bernard-Soulier syndrome, where loss-of-function variants abolish surface expression of the complex. The reagent is raised in rabbits, purified as an IgG preparation, and supplied in an unconjugated format, allowing it to be paired with secondary reporters of the user's choice. It has been validated for Western blot on lysates from human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work across rodent disease models and human platelet preparations.
