Anti-GOT1 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody targets GOT1 (Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase 1), the cytoplasmic isoform of aspartate aminotransferase, a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the reversible transamination of L-aspartate and alpha-ketoglutarate to yield oxaloacetate and L-glutamate.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. GOT1 contributes to cytoplasmic NADH/NAD+ balance, the malate-aspartate shuttle, gluconeogenesis from aspartate, and redox homeostasis, and the antibody is commonly used to study aspartate-driven metabolic reprogramming in hepatocytes, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells, and ferroptosis-resistance models.
