This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase 1 (GOT1), the cytoplasmic isoform of aspartate aminotransferase that catalyzes the reversible transamination of aspartate and α-ketoglutarate to oxaloacetate and glutamate. Supplied at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated antibody is packaged as a 100 µL volume, giving laboratories flexibility to set their own working dilution and detection chemistry for immunoblotting.

Validated for Western blot, the reagent recognizes the approximately 46 kDa target in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies in hepatic injury, metabolic reprogramming, and cancer biology where GOT1 has been linked to aspartate availability and ferroptosis sensitivity. The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope coverage under denaturing SDS-PAGE conditions, which is useful when probing full-length enzyme expression across different tissue lysates and cell lines.

For routine use, store at -20 °C in the supplied glycerol-stabilized buffer; the formulation tolerates standard freeze-thaw cycles and preserves binding activity across repeated immunoblotting experiments. The 0.1% sodium azide component helps prevent microbial contamination during benchtop handling, while the 50% glycerol cryoprotectant maintains antibody integrity when small working aliquots are kept refrigerated between uses.
