Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated IgG polyclonal, this Antibodies.com reagent targets the gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GNRHR), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor central to hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal signaling. The antibody is supplied at 1.7 mg/mL in a 100 µl vial, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.3) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.05% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant.

Specificity is directed against a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of human GNRHR, allowing detection of endogenous total receptor protein with a predicted molecular weight of 28 kDa on Western blot. The reagent has been validated for reactivity in human and mouse samples — the two species most relevant to reproductive-biology and neuroendocrine studies of GnRH action — and detects the native receptor without requiring an exogenous tag.

Validated applications include Western blotting at a recommended dilution of 1:2000–1:5000 and immunohistochemistry at 1:150–1:500, supporting both expression-profiling and tissue-localization workflows in pituitary and hypothalamic specimens. The unconjugated format lets researchers pair the antibody with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondary reagents of their own choice.

Keep refrigerated, protect from light, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and aliquot upon first use to preserve activity across longer projects. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
