This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets GNG12, the gamma-12 subunit of heterotrimeric G proteins that couples G-protein-coupled receptors to downstream effector pathways in mammalian cells. Raised in rabbit, the unconjugated antibody preparation is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide (approx. pH 7.2) and is validated for Western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody is delivered in a 100 µl vial, providing enough volume for multiple Western blot membranes and optimization rounds. Researchers investigating GPCR signaling, receptor-coupled signal transduction, or the relative composition of gamma subunits will find the cross-species reactivity useful when comparing rodent models with human specimens. The gamma-12 target is a small, membrane-associated signaling protein, so SDS-PAGE analysis typically uses higher-percentage gels for clean band resolution. For routine handling, aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and refrigerate for active use; long-term storage below freezing preserves antibody activity. As an unconjugated primary antibody, this reagent pairs with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot readout.
