GMNN (Geminin) is a nuclear protein best known for binding CDT1 and blocking pre-replication complex assembly, restricting DNA replication licensing to once per cell cycle. Expression rises in S phase, falls sharply at the metaphase–anaphase transition through ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis, and re-accumulates in the next cycle. Beyond replication control, Geminin acts as a dual-function regulator: it recruits polycomb repressive complexes to silence neural-differentiation genes, and it sequesters the homeodomain transcription factor Brachyury, both of which link Geminin to lineage commitment and early embryogenesis.

The rabbit polyclonal anti-Geminin reagent distributed by Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum in a single vial, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. It supports comparative studies of cell-cycle exit in differentiating progenitors, neural-progenitor maintenance, DNA-relicensing dynamics, and proliferative-index scoring in tumor sections.
