Glia maturation factor beta (GMF-β) is a brain-enriched ~17 kDa protein that drives microglial activation and has become a frequent target in neurodegenerative disease research. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the GMF-β target and is supplied at 100 µl, ready to aliquot and store at -20 °C for long-term activity. The polyclonal mix recognizes multiple epitopes, supporting Western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples as well as ELISA-based quantification in cell culture and tissue lysate workflows. For routine handling, refrigerate working aliquots at 4 °C and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody performance; protect from light during incubation steps. Because the antibody cross-reacts with orthologous rodent and human GMF-β, it suits comparative studies of glial signaling in models of inflammation, ischemia, and progressive neurodegeneration, where in vitro and in vivo preparations can be processed with the same primary reagent.
