Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal antibody, this Antibodies.com reagent binds glutathione transferase, the phase II detoxification enzyme that catalyzes conjugation of reduced glutathione to electrophilic substrates. It is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples, supporting work ranging from xenobiotic metabolism studies and oxidative stress research to confirmation of GST-tagged recombinant fusion proteins after expression and purification. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the enzyme, which helps detect endogenous GST in tissue sections and track fusion constructs through purification steps. Supplied in a 100 µl vial, the unconjugated preparation gives researchers flexibility to conjugate the antibody to their preferred reporter (HRP, biotin, or a chosen fluorophore) and to titrate working dilution for their specific application. Refrigerate on arrival and aliquot if extended storage is anticipated, since repeated freeze-thaw cycles can erode binding activity over time.
