Anti-GluR-1 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets GluR-1 (Glutamate Receptor 1) and is supplied unconjugated. It has been validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and ELISA, and reacts with human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples.

The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from human GluR-1 around the non-phosphorylation site of serine 863, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of GluR-1 protein. It is provided at a concentration of 1 mg/mL in a liquid formulation of PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide, and has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen.

For handling, the antibody is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided. GluR-1 is also known by synonyms including AMPA-selective glutamate receptor 1, GLUA1, GLUH1, GluR-A, GluR-K1, GLUR1, Glutamate receptor ionotropic AMPA 1, and GRIA1.
