GLI1 is a zinc-finger transcription factor that acts as the terminal effector of the Hedgehog signaling pathway. The Antibodies.com Anti-GLI1 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent built to detect this target in immunoblotting workflows. Supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation, this Primary Antibodies reagent is validated for Western Blot application and shows reactivity against Human, Rat, and Mouse samples, supporting comparative studies across cell lines and tissue lysates.

The antibody is formulated at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, buffered to roughly pH 7.3 for stable handling. Each vial contains 50 µl of product, providing enough volume for multiple membrane probing experiments once diluted to typical blotting concentrations. Store refrigerated between uses to maintain activity over the stated shelf life.

GLI1 expression is widely used as a readout for Hedgehog pathway activation in developmental biology, stem-cell research, and oncology. Aberrant signaling through GLI1 is implicated in basal cell carcinoma, medulloblastoma, and certain pancreatic and small-cell lung cancers, so the antibody supports pre-clinical inhibitor screens, differentiation tracking in pluripotent stem cell workflows, and pathway-activation confirmation in tumor models.

Because the host species is rabbit, the reagent pairs with common anti-rabbit HRP and fluorescent secondary antibodies. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the GLI1 protein, an advantage when post-translational modification or partial proteolysis may mask individual linear epitopes.
