Alpha-galactosidase A (GLA) is the lysosomal hydrolase encoded by the GLA gene on the X chromosome, and loss-of-function mutations in this enzyme underlie Fabry disease, a glycosphingolipid storage disorder. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against GLA and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. It cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies in rodent disease models and patient-derived tissues. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant; aliquoting on receipt and storage at -20 °C in working volumes is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across multiple experiments.
