GJB3, the gene encoding Connexin 31 (Cx31), is a gap junction channel protein most strongly investigated for its role in epidermal differentiation and inner-ear sensory function, where loss-of-function variants have been linked to erythrokeratodermia variabilis and progressive hearing impairment. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the GJB3 target and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples.
The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl aliquot, ready to be diluted into standard blotting or IHC buffers. Aliquot on first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, store the vial frozen, and protect from light; thaw only the volume needed immediately before use.
