A polyclonal antibody targeting GIP (Glucose-Dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide), the incretin hormone secreted by enteroendocrine K cells of the duodenum and proximal jejunum. This unconjugated rabbit host reagent is formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Antibodies.com presents this primary antibody reagent validated for detection in human, mouse, and rat sample types, enabling researchers to localize GIP-expressing cells in pancreatic and intestinal tissue sections or to resolve the mature 5 kDa peptide and proGIP precursor forms by western blot. Store at -20°C in aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light; the glycerol-containing buffer remains liquid at sub-zero working temperatures, simplifying handling on ice during immunostaining protocols.
