Anti-GGT5 Antibody

The Anti-GGT5 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit host reagent raised against gamma-glutamyltransferase 5, a membrane-associated enzyme involved in glutathione homeostasis and leukotriene metabolism. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum at 1 mg/ml in PBS (pH 7.2) with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative. Validated by Western blot on human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent detects endogenous GGT5 in cell and tissue lysates separated by SDS-PAGE. GGT5 is a transpeptidase and hydrolase that converts leukotriene C4 to leukotriene D4 within the cysteinyl leukotriene cascade, making this antibody a useful reagent for research into leukotriene signaling, oxidative-stress biology, and glutathione cycle biochemistry. The polyclonal format produces recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, which improves tolerance to minor sequence variation between species.
