Raised in mouse hosts, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets the Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) epitope tag, allowing researchers to track GFP-fusion constructs across Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows.
The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 200 µL liquid aliquot in a vial, ready for dilution into standard blocking buffers and compatible with common secondary reagents such as HRP-conjugated or Alexa Fluor-labelled anti-mouse IgG.
Because it recognises the 27 kDa GFP tag rather than an endogenous host protein, the reagent works in transfected cells from bacterial, yeast, insect, or mammalian expression backgrounds. Polyclonal preparations recognise multiple epitopes on GFP, which can improve signal recovery when a fusion partner partially occludes the tag.
Store refrigerated and protect from light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity. Brief centrifugation before use clears aggregated immunoglobulin that may form during storage. The reagent is intended for research use only.
