Offered by Antibodies.com, this Rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against recombinant human GFER (augmenter of liver regeneration, also known as FAD-linked sulfhydryl oxidase ALR, Hepatopoietin, HERV1, or HPO) and is affinity-purified using the immunogen to ensure selective recognition of the endogenous target. Supplied as an unconjugated preparation at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume, the antibody is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, and it is shipped on cold packs at 4 °C; for long-term stability it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C with repeated freeze/thaw cycles prevented. The reagent has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and cross-reactivity data indicate reliable detection in Human, Mouse and Rat samples, making it a flexible choice for comparative tissue and cell-line studies. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of binding multiple epitopes on the GFER protein, which is particularly helpful when investigating expression of this mitochondrial sulfhydryl oxidase implicated in liver regeneration and oxidative protein folding. As a research-use-only reagent intended for laboratory applications, it provides a dependable option for researchers characterising GFER biology in hepatic and extrahepatic model systems.
