This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets GFER (Growth Factor, Augmenter of Liver Regeneration), a flavin adenine dinucleotide-linked sulfhydryl oxidase that resides in the mitochondrial intermembrane space. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows across human, mouse, and rat sample types. Each vial contains 100 µl of unconjugated antibody, allowing direct conjugation to fluorophores, biotin, or enzymes for application-specific detection assays.

GFER, also known as ALR or HPO1, is studied extensively in hepatic regeneration research, mitochondrial protein import, and oxidative protein folding within the intermembrane space. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, supporting signal in denaturing Western blot conditions and in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections processed for IHC. Researchers investigating hepatocellular function, mitochondrial disorders, or redox biology use this reagent to probe both native and recombinant GFER expression. The 50% glycerol formulation permits storage at -20 °C with reduced freeze-thaw damage, and the included sodium azide prevents microbial contamination during repeated handling.

The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to pair the primary antibody with their preferred secondary reagent, whether HRP-based for chromogenic IHC detection or fluorescently labeled for multiplex imaging. The 100 µl volume supports dozens of experiments depending on dilution, and the product is intended for research use only rather than diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
