A rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against GFAP (Ser38), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary reagent. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 1-50 of Human GFAP, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of GFAP protein. It is validated for Western blotting and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with a reported purity of > 95% by SDS-PAGE. The reported molecular weight is ~ 55 kDa. The product is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
