Anti-GFAP (phospho-Ser38) Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody to GFAP (phospho-Ser38), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated primary antibody validated for Western blot (WB). The reagent is raised in rabbit and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples. It is provided at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human GFAP around the phosphorylation site of Serine 38. The antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of GFAP protein when phosphorylated at Ser38, and the target runs at approximately 55 kDa. The reagent was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with a purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
