Anti-GDI1 Antibody

The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets GDI1 (Rab GDP Dissociation Inhibitor Alpha), a roughly 50 kDa cytoplasmic protein best known for its role in regulating Rab GTPase activity and vesicular membrane trafficking between organelles.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, this unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Researchers investigating synaptic vesicle recycling, neuronal development, and X-linked intellectual disability routinely probe for GDI1, because loss-of-function mutations in the gene have been linked to non-specific cognitive impairment. The reagent also supports cancer cell biology studies, where altered GDI1 expression has been reported in leukemia and other tumor types.
