Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent designed to recognise GDF9 (Growth/differentiation factor 9), a member of the TGF-β superfamily that is expressed in oocytes and plays a key role in ovarian folliculogenesis. The immunogen used to raise the antibody is a recombinant protein of human GDF9, and specificity testing confirms that the reagent detects the endogenous level of total GDF9 in validated samples. It is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, supplemented with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol for cryoprotection; long-term storage is recommended at –20 °C. The unconjugated preparation has been affinity-purified on the immunogen and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, including IHC on paraffin-embedded tissue sections, as illustrated on the product datasheet with a stained human stomach cancer section. Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse and rat samples, making the reagent suitable for cross-species studies of reproductive biology and granulosa-cell signalling. Polyclonal host: Rabbit. Conjugate: Unconjugated. It is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
