Anti-GCSH Antibody

Raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated IgG polyclonal, this reagent from Antibodies.com targets the human GCSH protein (Glycine Cleavage System Protein H, the H subunit of the mitochondrial glycine decarboxylase complex). GCSH is one of four components of the glycine cleavage system, the multienzyme complex that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of glycine and transfers the aminomethyl moiety to lipoamide. The antibody is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous human GCSH and is supplied as 100 µL of liquid antiserum, an amount that covers many standard immunoblotting workflows. Laboratories investigating mitochondrial one-carbon metabolism, glycine encephalopathy (nonketotic hyperglycinemia), and related neurometabolic disease mechanisms use this reagent to probe GCSH expression in cultured cell and tissue lysates.
