Anti-GCM1 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, a rabbit polyclonal antibody targets the human GCM1 protein. The unconjugated IgG reagent has been validated for western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence applications, including ICC/IF, on human samples [S1, S2]. One source additionally lists immunohistochemistry (IHC) among the validated applications [S2].

The immunogen used in one preparation is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 207-436 of human GCM1 (NP_003634.2) [S1], while another preparation uses recombinant full-length human GCM1 [S2]. The antibody detects endogenous levels of GCM1 protein [S2] and is purified by affinity chromatography to greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE [S2].

The liquid formulation is supplied in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.3 containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide [S1], with another preparation in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol at 1 mg/ml [S2]. The target protein migrates at approximately 49 kDa [S2]. The reagent is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles [S1]. Recommended dilutions are WB at 1:500-1:2,000 and ICC/IF at 1:50-1:100 [S1].
