Guanylate Binding Protein 1 (GBP1) is an interferon-induced GTPase of the dynamin superfamily, central to cell-autonomous immunity against intracellular bacteria and parasites such as Toxoplasma gondii and Listeria monocytogenes.

This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial. It is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples.

GBP1 expression is strongly upregulated by IFN-γ and has been investigated as a biomarker in glioma, colorectal carcinoma, and inflammatory bowel disease research. Its cytoplasmic localization in epithelial and immune cells makes it a useful readout of interferon-driven inflammatory signaling. Published studies have used antibodies of this type to track GBP1 recruitment to pathogen-containing vacuoles and to probe inflammasome assembly, supporting applications in infectious disease and tumor microenvironment research.
