This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the GATA6 transcription factor, a zinc-finger DNA-binding protein required for endoderm specification, cardiac morphogenesis, and pancreatic β-cell development. Produced in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 200 µl vial, the reagent is validated for Western blot detection of the human GATA6 protein, which migrates at approximately 60–62 kDa in standard SDS-PAGE workflows.

Researchers studying congenital disorders linked to GATA6 haploinsufficiency — including pancreatic agenesis, neonatal diabetes, and outflow tract cardiac malformations — use this reagent to assess endogenous expression in human cell lines and primary tissue lysates. The antibody is also applied in oncology research, where GATA6 has context-dependent roles as a tumor suppressor in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and as a lineage-survival factor reported in colorectal and lung cancers.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it provides flexibility for downstream applications, allowing users to pair it with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for chemiluminescent or fluorescent Western blot detection. For storage, refrigerate at 4 °C and aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles, preserving activity across multiple experiments.
