Offered by Antibodies.com as part of their Primary Antibodies portfolio, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a peptide sequence surrounding residue 142 of human GATA1 (the immunogen spans approximately aa. 140–144, R-L-S-P-D), enabling selective detection of endogenous GATA1 protein. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 50 µl of liquid at a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and should be stored between -20 °C and 8 °C for long-term stability. It is validated for Western Blot (recommended dilution 1:500–1:1000), Immunohistochemistry (1:50–1:100) and Immunofluorescence (1:100–1:200) applications, with reactivity confirmed in Human, Mouse and Rat samples. The polyclonal IgG host response in Rabbit supports robust recognition of the ~43 kDa GATA1 transcription factor, and the antibody has been tested in workflows such as Western blot analysis of 3T3 cell lysates, IHC staining of paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue, and IF staining of methanol-fixed HeLa cells. Intended for research use only, this lot is supplied by AFMS and is well suited to chromatin, haematopoiesis and erythroid gene-regulation studies where reliable GATA1 detection is essential.
