Gastrin is a peptide hormone produced primarily by G cells in the antrum of the stomach, where it stimulates parietal cells to secrete gastric acid and supports mucosal growth. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and is validated for western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human and mouse samples. The 100 µl aliquot is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid; store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with short-term storage at 4 °C acceptable between uses. The antibody binds the mature gastrin peptide and is well suited to studies of gastrointestinal physiology, appetite regulation, gastrinoma pathology, and enteroendocrine cell biology. Researchers investigating gastric acid secretion, G-cell differentiation, or related signaling cascades will find this reagent a reliable tool for both tissue staining and protein detection workflows.
