Raised in rabbit against the Growth Arrest-Specific 2 (GAS2) protein, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a buffer combination that keeps the antibody liquid at -20 °C storage without freeze-thaw damage.

The unconjugated IgG fraction detects GAS2 in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows, supporting parallel readouts across fixed sections, extracted lysates, and cultured cells.

GAS2 is a cytoskeletal linker that tethers actin filaments to microtubules through its GAR domain and contributes to growth-arrest signaling and caspase-dependent apoptosis, providing a tool for tracking cytoskeletal remodeling, cell-cycle exit, and pericentriolar-matrix organization in developmental and cancer research.

Each vial contains 100 µl of ready-to-use stock; dilute in blocking buffer for immunofluorescence or apply directly at 1–2 µg/ml in Western blot to detect the endogenous GAS2 band. The sodium azide preservative is incompatible with live-cell staining and with some HRP-conjugated secondary reagents, so it should be removed by buffer exchange or gel filtration before such applications.
