Anti-GAPDH Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody reagent for routine loading-control and housekeeping-protein detection, this rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), a widely conserved ~36 kDa cytosolic enzyme. The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot in unconjugated format and was raised against a recombinant protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 1–323 of human GAPDH, then purified by antigen-affinity chromatography. It is provided in 1× PBS with 1% BSA, 20% glycerol (pH 7.0) and 0.01% Thimerosal as a preservative, shipped at 4 °C and intended to be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Validated applications cover Western blotting (recommended dilution 1:500–1:3,000), immunohistochemistry on tissue sections (1:50–1:500) and immunofluorescence/ICC (1:100–1:200), and the reagent has been confirmed to react with human samples. Its polyclonal clonality in a rabbit host gives a broad epitope coverage that is well suited for consistent band detection in WB loading controls alongside the more demanding IHC and IF work-ups.
