Anti-GAMT Antibody

This polyclonal antibody targets guanidinoacetate N-methyltransferase (GAMT), the hepatic and pancreatic enzyme that converts guanidinoacetate to creatine in the terminal step of cellular creatine biosynthesis. Mutations in the GAMT gene underlie cerebral creatine deficiency syndrome type 2, a neurometabolic condition associated with developmental delay, seizures, and movement abnormalities, and the protein is widely studied in research on one-carbon methyl-group metabolism in the brain and liver.
