Anti-GALM Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human galactose mutarotase (GALM), the cytosolic aldose 1-epimerase (EC 5.1.3.3) that interconverts alpha- and beta-D-galactose and channels substrate into the Leloir pathway. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, and is packaged as a 100 µl vial. It is validated for western blot detection of the human GALM protein in research applications including galactose metabolism, the molecular basis of galactosemia type IV, and the role of aldose 1-epimerase in hepatic carbohydrate handling. Polyclonal reactivity broadens epitope coverage across the human target, and the rabbit host makes the reagent compatible with common anti-rabbit secondary reagents for immunoblotting workflows.
