Anti-Galectin-3 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against recombinant human Galectin-3 protein and is supplied at 100 µg per vial as an unconjugated, ready-to-use primary antibody at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. It is formulated in 0.01 M PBS (pH 7.4) containing 50% glycerol and 0.03% ProClin 300 as a preservative, and the protein has been purified by caprylic acid ammonium sulfate precipitation to reduce background binding. Validated applications include Western Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), with reactivity confirmed exclusively on human samples. In WB testing at 2 µg/mL, the reagent detects an endogenous band of approximately 26 kDa in HeLa and MCF-7 whole-cell lysates, matching the predicted size of the Galectin-3 target. Each lot is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt, users are advised to aliquot the antibody and store it at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve activity.
