Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated polyclonal antiserum, this primary antibody recognizes the GADD45GIP1 protein, also known as CRIF1, a nuclear-encoded factor implicated in growth arrest, the DNA-damage response, oxidative-stress signaling, and mitochondrial translation. The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species comparative studies of stress-pathway signaling and mitochondrial ribosome assembly in cultured cells and tissue lysates.

It is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, and the 100 µl pack size is sufficient for multiple blotting experiments after dilution in blocking buffer. For short-term use, keep the vial refrigerated at 4 °C; for longer storage, aliquot the polyclonal preparation and freeze at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycling and preserve antibody titer over time.

Sodium azide is included as a preservative, so the reagent is not suitable for live-cell staining or in vivo work. Researchers investigating apoptosis, mitochondrial function, or GADD45-mediated growth suppression can use this antibody to probe endogenous GADD45GIP1 expression in lysates prepared from mammalian cell lines or rodent tissue under various stress conditions.
