Anti-GADD 45 gamma Antibody

GADD45 gamma (Growth Arrest and DNA Damage 45 gamma) is an acidic nuclear effector of the DNA damage response, encoded by the GADD45G locus on human chromosome 9. Expression rises sharply after UV irradiation, oxidative stress, and pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling, and the protein contributes to G2/M checkpoint enforcement, p53-dependent transcriptional programs, and active DNA demethylation through recruitment of nucleotide excision repair factors.

Provided by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antiserum is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot and was raised against recombinant human GADD45 gamma. The antibody recognizes its target in Western blot under reducing conditions and produces a nuclear staining pattern in immunofluorescence on fixed cells, consistent with the protein's predominant localization within nucleoplasm and perinucleolar compartments.
