Anti-GAD67 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against a synthesized peptide derived from human GAD67 (glutamic acid decarboxylase 67), making it well-suited for neuroscience and metabolism research focused on GABAergic neurons. The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated rabbit IgG at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, presented in a 50 µl volume of phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. It has been validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, where it specifically recognizes endogenous levels of total GAD67 protein. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
