Anti-GABRA5 Antibody

This primary antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against GABRA5 (Gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor subunit alpha-5). It is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, validated for Western blot (WB) applications and reactive with mouse and rat samples.

The antibody was generated against a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 32-259 of human GABRA5 (NP_000801.1) and is affinity purified. The target protein has a molecular weight of 52 kDa. The reagent is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide.

Recommended Western blot dilutions are 1:1,000-1:4,000. The product is shipped at 4°C; on receipt, aliquots should be stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Each batch is supplied at lot-specific concentration. The GABRA5 target is tissue-enriched in brain, with reported subcellular localisation to the nucleoplasm and plasma membrane.
