Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against GAB1 (GRB2-associated-binding protein 1) and is intended for the detection of the endogenous total GAB1 protein in research samples. The antibody was generated by immunising rabbits with a recombinant human GAB1 protein and then affinity-purified on the immunogen, yielding a host-species-matched polyclonal reagent at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL vial. It is unconjugated and is provided in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotective stabiliser. The reagent is shipped on cold packs at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival for long-term storage at –20 °C; repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve binding activity. In western blotting the antibody specifically recognises endogenous levels of total GAB1 in lysates prepared from human, mouse and rat samples, reflecting the conservation of the immunogen sequence across these species. This makes it well suited to studies of receptor tyrosine kinase signalling, growth factor responses and downstream RAS/MAPK pathway analysis where GAB1 serves as a key scaffolding adaptor. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes within GAB1, which is advantageous for applications where signal robustness is required. Researchers should note that the product is supplied for research use only and is not validated or intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. The same formulation is also offered in a 100 µL pack size for laboratories that require larger volumes, and the product is shipped from Cambridge (UK) with a typical 4–6 business-day lead time.
