Manufactured and distributed by Antibodies.com, this research-grade reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase (G6PD), produced using a recombinant human G6PD immunogen and purified by affinity chromatography to detect the endogenous total G6PD protein in cell and tissue lysates. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot formulated at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. It is shipped at 4°C and upon receipt should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with care taken to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles that can compromise antibody integrity. The reagent has been validated by the supplier for Western blotting (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications, and it cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal host is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, and the conjugate is unconjugated, allowing researchers to attach their preferred fluorophore, enzyme, or bead label for downstream detection. G6PD, also known as Glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase, is the rate-limiting NADPH-producing enzyme of the pentose phosphate pathway, so this antibody is well suited to studies of redox homeostasis, oxidative stress responses, and hematopoietic disorders such as G6PD deficiency. Intended for research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
