This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes G3BP1 (Ras GTPase-activating protein-binding protein 1), an RNA-binding protein that acts as a core nucleator of cytoplasmic stress granules and a regulator of mRNA stability and translation under conditions of oxidative, hypoxic, or viral stress. Distributed by Antibodies.com as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum, it is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications on human, mouse, and rat samples. In immunofluorescence, the reagent labels the discrete cytoplasmic puncta that assemble when stress granules form, for example following sodium arsenite treatment or heat shock, providing a reliable reference marker for studies of translational control, innate immune signaling, and viral-host interactions. In Western blot, it detects the endogenous G3BP1 band, supporting research on stress responses, cancer cell signaling (with published roles in breast, prostate, lung, and head-and-neck tumor models), and neurodegeneration. As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, it offers multi-epitope recognition of the target, which is useful when probing post-translationally modified forms of G3BP1 generated during cellular stress. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20 °C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect working aliquots from light.
