This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody targets G3BP1 (Ras-GTPase-activating protein SH3-domain-binding protein 1), a multifunctional RNA-binding protein used as a marker for cytoplasmic stress granules in cell biology research. Supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µL of unconjugated liquid, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on samples from human, mouse, and duck origin.

G3BP1 nucleates stress granule assembly under oxidative stress, heat shock, and viral infection, where it engages 48S pre-initiation complexes and remodels RNA-protein interactions. The antibody is commonly deployed to study translational control, innate immunity (including PKR sequestration and double-stranded RNA sensing), and viral antagonism of host RNA metabolism. It also features in cancer research, where elevated G3BP1 expression has been linked to tumor progression and chemoresistance in several solid tumor models.

For immunofluorescence, the reagent is applied to fixed cells to visualize discrete cytoplasmic puncta that co-localize with canonical stress granule markers. In Western blot, it detects the expected 68 kDa G3BP1 band across multiple lysate types. Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to preserve activity across freeze-thaw cycles.
