Targeting the endogenous Fizzy-Related Protein Homolog (FZR1, also known as Cdh1, hCDH1, FYR, and CDC20-like protein 1), this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is produced in rabbit as an unconjugated IgG reagent validated for Western blot detection of human samples. FZR1 contains seven WD40 repeats and serves as the substrate-specific activator of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C); it replaces CDC20 on the cyclosome during late mitosis and remains associated through anaphase and telophase, driving ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis of key mitotic regulators such as cyclins and securin. At the G1/S transition the protein is phosphorylated and dissociates from APC/C, while after DNA damage it is dephosphorylated and re-engages the cyclosome to ubiquitinate PLK1 and enforce the G2 checkpoint. The target gene maps to chromosome 19 (NC_000019.10, UniProt Q9UM11) and is expressed as multiple isoforms with predicted molecular weights near 55 kDa, making it broadly applicable to research on chromosome segregation, mitotic exit, the spindle assembly checkpoint, DNA replication licensing, and the APC/C-dependent regulation of substrates implicated in tumorigenesis including lobular breast carcinoma.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid polyclonal antiserum and is recommended for WB applications using standard SDS-PAGE lysates, HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, and chemiluminescent detection. For best results, store the vial refrigerated at 4°C, aliquot to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to preserve activity. This product is intended for research use only and has not been approved for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
