Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, the Antibodies.com Anti-FUT1 Antibody recognizes Fucosyltransferase 1, the alpha-1,2-fucosyltransferase that generates the H histo-blood group antigen on glycoproteins and glycolipids. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, it has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples, supporting research into ABH antigen biosynthesis, the rare Bombay and para-Bombay phenotypes caused by FUT1 loss-of-function mutations, and altered fucosylation patterns reported in epithelial cancers. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope recognition, helping capture both full-length FUT1 and related fucosyltransferase family members in tissue sections and cell lysates. Investigators working on glycosylation biology, transfusion-medicine antigen typing, or fucosylation-linked tumor biomarkers can apply this reagent to formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded specimens as well as standard immunoblotting preparations.
