Raised in rabbit and purified by antigen-affinity chromatography, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at a 100 µl pack size and is designed for the detection of fumarate hydratase in human samples. It is validated for Western blotting (recommended dilution 1:500–1:3000), immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (1:100–1:500), and immunofluorescence / ICC (1:100–1:200), making it a flexible choice for expression profiling, tissue localization, and subcellular imaging studies. The immunogen is a recombinant protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 195–443 of fumarate hydratase, and the predicted molecular weight of the target is approximately 55 kDa, consistent with the mitochondrial isoform. The antibody is formulated in 0.1 M Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.0, containing 10% glycerol as a cryoprotectant and 0.01% thimerosal as a preservative; it is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Compatible secondaries include goat anti-rabbit IgG conjugated to HRP, FITC, biotin, or AP, allowing straightforward adaptation to chromogenic, fluorescent, or amplified detection workflows. Products are dispatched from Cambridge (UK) with a typical lead time of 4–6 business days and are intended for research use only.
