Anti-FTO Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against FTO, offered by Antibodies.com. The reagent is supplied as a liquid in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal, and is unconjugated with an IgG isotype. It has been validated for western blot and immunoprecipitation, and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples. The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1–240 of human FTO (NP_001073901.1), and the protein target has a molecular weight of 60 kDa. The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography. It is shipped at 4°C; on arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles. Recommended working dilutions are 1:500–1:1,000 for western blot and 1:500–1:1,000 for immunoprecipitation, and the concentration is reported as lot specific.
