A polyclonal antibody reagent from Antibodies.com targets the Fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO), an alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase that functions as a nuclear N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA demethylase. The unconjugated Anti-FTO Antibody detects endogenous FTO in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows. Supplied as 100 µl in a single vial, it should be stored at -20 °C and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. FTO is widely studied in metabolic disease, adipogenesis, and RNA epigenetics, with aberrant m6A methylation linked to acute myeloid leukemia and several solid tumors. Investigators working on obesity-associated pathways and cellular differentiation in cell culture routinely deploy the antibody to track expression changes across tissues and to confirm genetic manipulation of the FTO locus.
