Follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) is a G-protein coupled receptor essential for gonadal function and reproductive endocrinology, mediating gonadotropin signaling in granulosa and Sertoli cells. This unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, raised in rabbit against an epitope mapping to the R247 region, is supplied as 50 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

The IgG preparation is validated for western blot and immunofluorescence workflows and shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of ovarian follicular development, testicular function, and pituitary-gonadal axis research. Refrigerate the liquid format upon receipt and protect from light; brief freeze-thaw cycles are acceptable but should be minimized to preserve antibody activity.

For western blot applications, the reagent can be applied to membrane-bound FSHR from ovarian, testicular, or transfected cell line lysates. Immunofluorescence use involves labeling FSHR-expressing tissue sections or cultured cells, where the polyclonal mixture recognizes multiple epitopes and provides robust signal amplification relative to monoclonal alternatives. Researchers should titrate empirically; the 1 mg/ml concentration permits flexible dilution across blotting and staining protocols, and the sodium azide component serves as a preservative for long-term stability.
