Offered through Antibodies.com, this research-grade reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the FRK (fyn-related kinase) tyrosine-protein kinase, also known by its aliases PTK5 and RAK. The antibody was generated using a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human FRK and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, ensuring selective recognition of endogenous total FRK protein in experimental samples. It is supplied as an unconjugated rabbit IgG at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 50 µl format is dispatched from Cambridge, UK, on cool pack and should be stored at -20°C after aliquoting upon arrival, with care taken to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles that could compromise antibody integrity. Validated applications include Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), making the reagent suitable for detection across fixed-cell imaging, tissue-section studies, and standard immunoblot workflows. Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting broad translational and preclinical research use. For laboratory research only, the antibody is intended as a sensitive tool for probing FRK expression and signalling in cell biology and oncology-related investigations, complementing antibody panels targeting non-receptor tyrosine kinases.
